Majestic Philipsburg

Located between Missoula and Butte, off of MT Scenic Hwy 1, and centered in the heart of the Flint Creek Valley, is the quaint former mining town of Philipsburg, or P-burg as it is known to the locals.

The main street is filled with beautifully restored painted Victorian buildings. There are many wonderful shops including several galleries featuring jewelry made from local Sapphires, a variety of restaurants and a world famous candy store. The town also has a market, a hospital/nursing home and hosts a number of festivals and events.

Named one of the best towns to live in within the United States by Men’s Journal Magazine, P-Burg is minutes from Blue Ribbon Rock Creek, Discovery Ski Mountain, Georgetown Lake and some of the best elk hunting in the state. Vast tracts of public land in every direction provide unlimited hiking, 4 wheeling, fishing, snow shoeing, abundant wildlife including moose, bear, elk, mule and white tail deer, mountain lion, lynx, bob cat, wolf, fox, mink, bald and golden eagles, ducks, grouse, wild turkey and much more.
